Watertown Looks Into Getting Another School Resource Officer
The Watertown City School district wants a second school resource officer walking the halls.
The SRO would split his or her time between Case and Wiley schools.
This is the first year a resource officer has been at Watertown High School and district officials feel it has been so successful, they want a second officer to work with younger students.
It’s not a done deal, but Superintendent Terry Fralick said a second SRO has been included in the district’s proposed budget for next year.
It would cost about $50,000 to add another resource officer.
