North Country’s Finest: Potsdam Public Museum
“You just keep discovering and re-discovering things that you had no idea about and it’s fun.”
Those are the words of Mimi VanDeusen, curator and director of the Potsdam Public Museum.
The museum is home to one of the nation’s largest English pottery collections and various historical photos, musical instruments, invaluable geneological records and memorabilia.
It is also where the St. Lawrence Geneological Society meets monthly and it is not the only group that utilizes the facility.
Even North Country’s Finest reporter Michael Boyce found information on his ancestors there.
