Pink Flamigos ‘Flocking’ To Lewis County

flamingo.jpgLewis county residents beware - a flock of flamingos is on the loose.

If you’re not careful they could end up on your front lawn.

It’s all part of the Lowville Academy’s Relay for Life Team fundraiser.

If the flamingos “flock” to your yard, you’re asked to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in order to have the Relay for Life team take them away.

“Most often they land in your yard in the middle of the night so when you wake up you might find that you’ve been ‘flocked’”, said organizer Amy Bingle.

To have the flamingos removed will cost you $10.

If you want to keep flocks from showing up on your lawn in the first place, you can buy ‘Insurance for the Prevention of Large Pink Birds’ for $10.

You can also have someone else “flocked” - for a price.
