Almond Snider, 84, Natural Bridge
Almond Snider, 84, 1616 Vinceses Drive, Sun City Center, formerly of 82 Trenton Street in East Boston MA, died November 24, 2007 at home in Florida.
Born March 3, 1923, the son of the late Jim and Hazel Adner Snider.
He worked as a welder for over 35 years at Anderson Engineering in Cambridge MA.
He married Lucy Formicola on May 20, 1944.
Mr. Snider was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He served in WWII in the North Atlantic. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, American Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and The American Area Medal.
He is survived by his wife Diane Skinner Snider, one daughter and her husband, Maryellen and Dale O’Donnell, one son, Alan Snider, Mass; one sister, Elsie Gladle; one brother and his wife James Harvey and Eunice Snider; three grandsons, Tim O’Donnell, Brett O’Donnell, and Scott O’Donnell and his wife Amy; two great-granddaughters, Shayna and Alexis O’Donnell; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Lucy Formicola of Boston, sister May Raynor, daughter-in-law Kathy Snider, and brother-in-law Ducan Gladle.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Saturday May 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indian River Cemetery, Croghan with the Reverend Bruce W. Chapman officiating
