The Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York announced the appointment of Stephen A. Karon as executive director.

In 1981 Mr. Karon opened Upstate New York’s first hands-on science center in Syracuse- The Discovery Center of Science and Technology- later to become the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum  of Science and Technology, also known as MOST.

Karon served as Executive Director of the MOST for more than 20 years, growing the fledgling museum into one of the premiere family-oriented attractions in the region.

“I think there is a lot of opportunity for the Sci-Tech Center to enhance the education and quality of life for families in Northern New York.  I am looking forward to working with the community to take the Sci-Tech Center to its next level of growth and excellence,” said Mr. Karon.

The Sci-Tech Center of NNY has served as a safe and educational after-school and family destination since 1983.
