St. Lawrence County Man Charged with Reckless Driving After High Speed Pursuit

20-year-old Jesse Douglas, Richville, took Gouverneur village police and State Police on a high speed chase Saturday night.

Operating a Chevy Monte Carlo, Douglas is facing several traffic violation charges, including reckless driving and unlawfully fleeing a police officer.

Authorities say at one point Douglas was doing 135 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Following the arrest, Douglas was sent to St. Lawrence County Jail and bailed out over the weekend.
