Feedback: The Secret To A Long And Happy Marriage
Print This Page
In Lowville, it’s proof that love is ageless.
Couples are renewing and blessing their wedding vows.
Add up all those years and you’re talking about centuries of marriage.
Seven couples were involved in the ceremony at Lewis County General Hospital.
The hospital nursing home sponsored the event.
Included in the group of the happily married were George and Verna Gilmore, who will celebrate their 65th anniversary Thursday.
George said there’s one word that characterizes their marriage.
“Fun. We have a wonderful time together. Never went to bed mad. If we had an argument, we’d kiss and make up and always went to sleep happy,” said George.
The ceremony concluded with a little bit of dancing.
And, what would a second wedding be without some wedding cake.
