Print This Page
Bill Balling of Hermon is a professional farrier who has been shoeing the hooves of north country horses for more than 25 years.
It’s a job that requires the knowledge of a veterinarian and the skill of a blacksmith.
The profession is an ancient art, which was perfected during Roman times.
For Bill, it’s a great source of personal satisfaction.
“I enjoy what I’m doing. It’s a great lifestyle. I can set my own schedule,” he said.
