Nurses’ Aide Accused Of Abusing Elderly Woman

A certified nurses’ aide at United Helpers Nursing Home in Ogdensburg faces a five count indictment alleging she abused an 82 year old woman.

Christine Borasky, age 22, of 619 Albany Avenue in Ogdensburg, was charged with:

• two counts of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person

• two counts of violating state health laws

• a single count of endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person

Borasky is alleged to have squirted personal care foam into the victim’s mouth, pulled her hair and squeezed her hand - breaking her wrist.

The victim suffers from osteoarthritis and dementia.

The alleged incidents occurred in August 2007.
