“You are never too old to learn music.”
That’s what one music teacher told 90-year-old Ruth McNeff, who is an avid music lover.
Playing music has had proven effects on longevity and health and now North Country Music on Arsenal Street has classes available for those interested in learning how to play an instrument.
“None of them think they can do it when they start and six weeks later they are experts with their friends,” says Jim Hearne, owner of North Country Music.
“It keeps your mind sharp,” says the youngest participant at 72, Delores Whattam.
The introductory 6-week program costs $19.95 and includes an organ for your home.
