Shirley S. Currie, 69, Plessis
Shirley S. Currie, 69, of Bearup Road, died Thursday, July 17, at home while under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Survivors include her companion of ten years, John Chambers; an adopted daughter and her husband, Cynthia and Wayne Childress, Gloster, Va.; a brother, Gary “Dumpy” Rogers, Alexandria Bay; two sisters, Carol Scott and Norma Knight, both of Alexandria Bay; one granddaughter; seventeen nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Grant Rogers and Gorman Rogers, and a sister, Marlene Brown, died before her.
