Doris Lynch Heath, 89, Inverness, FL and Watertown
Doris Lynch Heath, 89, of Inverness, Florida, died on June 29th at the Hawthorne Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, Florida. She had been in failing health for several months.
Born September 26, 1918, in Watertown, NY, daughter of Albert Hewitt and Maude Weal, she graduated from Brownville Glen Park High School in 1937 and later received her nursing degree from the House of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in 1940. She had worked as a Registered Nurse in the Maternity Ward of the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital and later at the Ryan Nursing Home in Watertown.
She married Harold T. Lynch of Watertown in 1941, who preceded her in death in 1987. She later married Eldon Heath of Inverness, Florida, in 1991, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Heath resided in the Watertown area for much of her life, living in Glen Park, Chaumont, and Watertown before moving to Florida with her husband Harold in 1976. She was predeceased by two sisters, Nina Lizotte and Margaret Fullmer, and three brothers, Fred Hewitt, Clifford Hewitt, and Allen Hewitt.
Surviving are son Richard Lynch and wife Nickilyn of Gaithersburg, MD; son Thomas Lynch and wife Cynthia of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Suzanne Hunt and husband Lance Sprowls of Charlotte, NC; daughter Arlene Gaumond and husband George of Valdosta, GA; and daughter Elizabeth Bailey and husband David of Ocala, FL; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on July 26, 2008, at 2 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Dexter, NY.
