Bird Watching at the Battlefield in Sackets Harbor Mondays in August

Explore the wonders of bird watching this summer at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site. Join with others who enjoy learning about the great variety of birds that frequent the bays and marshlands of eastern Lake Ontario.
Bird watching sessions are Monday evenings August 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Discover the world of birds with instructor Gerry Smith, a local ornithologist and past president of the North Country Bird Club. Learn with the experts!
For “in-the-field” bird walks and off-site field trips bring binoculars, insect repellant and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The fee is $25 for all four sessions, $20 for three sessions, $15 for two sessions or $10 for one session. Make you check payable to “NHT.” Meet at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site’s large parking lot off Hill Street.
