Video: Bus And Vehicle Collide, Four Injured

Part of Route 11 near Richville was closed Wednesday night after a serious accident involving a school bus and another vehicle.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies say a bus filled with members of the Ogdensburg Free Academy marching band collided with a Plymouth Acclaim.

Two students were taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center with minor injuries and were later released.

Two people in the Acclaim, an elderly man and woman, were also taken to Claxton in serious condition.

The bus was on its way back from a performance in the firemen’s parade at the Gouvereneur-St. Lawrence County Fair.

The force of the accident tore off the front axle of the bus.

Officials say fire crews responded quickly because many were also at that fair near Richville.
