New DVD Releases This Week
It has taken an unusual route: Released in Theatres earlier this year, then premiered on both the Disney Channel and Starz on TV the same night.
Now you can have the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour DVD for your very own! This 2 disc extended edition is in 3-D, so your tween can stare at the TV in her 3-D glasses, screaming and befuddling you even more than usual!
Other theatrical releases include Prom Night, the remake of the “classic” horror movie. (Brittany Snow is no Jamie Lee Curtis!)
There is also Street Kings, with Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker in this police action/drama written by James Ellroy,
And Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, with Francis MacDormand and Amy Adams in this period drama/comedy.
For TV Shows on DVD released this week, there’s two FOX shows that are returning to the air with new episodes in a couple of weeks.
“House, M.D. - Season 4″ is out with Hugh Laurie returning as the brilliant doctor with no other redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Why is it that we love him so?
There’s also “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1″, with the first nine episodes of the show that had a cult following this last winter.
Other shows on DVD include “Dexter - Season 2″
“Married… with Children - Season 9″ (Yes, this show actually went 11 seasons!)
“Perry Mason - Season 3, Volume 1″
“Gossip Girl - Season 1″
and if you just can’t watch enough of it on the Disney Channel, repeated ad nauseum, there’s the latest Disney Channel Movie, Camp Rock: Extended Rock Star Edition. (Yes, I have a teenage daughter, so I am very familiar with these types of movies right now!)
