Harold D. Newcomb, 62, Harrisville

Harold D. Newcomb, age 62, of 14435 Wilder Drive, PO Box 393, formerly of Bridge Port, Syracuse died Monday, August 18, 2008 at The Carthage Area Hospital Emergency Room.

Mr. Newcomb was born January 19, 1946 in Syracuse, NY the son of the late Harold and the late Carrie (Giachetti) Newcomb. He graduated from Assumption Catholic Academy in Syracuse.

He married Susan Powers in 1966 in Syracuse. He was employed by Conrail Rail Road, in Syracuse; he worked as a Yard Master, and he retired several years ago.

He is survived by his wife: Susan (Powers) Newcomb, Harrisville; a sister, Linda and her husband Jerry Haver, Tacoma Washington.

He loved his dogs and he also enjoyed Motorcycles and Cars.

A calling hour will take place on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10:00am at the St. Francis Solanus Church, 14355 Maple St, Harrisville. A funeral mass will take place at 11:00am with The Reverend Robert L. Decker, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay New York. Arrangements are being handled by the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home Inc. Harrisville New York.
