Norwood Teen Arrested on Burglary Charges

On August 20, 2008, the New York State Police based in Canton, New York arrested Tyler G. Scott, 16, of Norwood, New York on the following charges:

• One count of Burglary 1st
• One count of Burglary 2nd

This arrest was a result of an ongoing investigation being conducted by the New York State Police based in Canton, New York with assistance from the Troop B Gun Investigation Unit.

The investigation revealed two seasonal residences were burglarized in the town of Colton.

The suspects entered the structures and subsequently stole various items including a pistol and a portable global positioning system device.

Scott was arraigned before the Town of Canton Criminal Court and released under supervision of the St. Lawrence County Probation Department.

Additional suspects will be identified following their arrests.
