23 Arrested In Drug Bust

After an investigation lasting several months, Massena Village Police and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force rounded up several subjects on drug related charges Tuesday.
Seven Massena residents face felony drug charges in the sting operation.
All of the suspects were allegedly involved in street level drug sales in the community involving cocaine, ecstasy and various forms of pharmaceuticals.
Charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance third degree were:
- 43 year old Donald LaDue of 180 North Main Street; $2,500 bail
- 26 year old Brian Gray of 6 Lincoln Place; $2,500 bail
- 46 year old Anne Musante of 6 Middlebury Avenue;$2500 bail
- 40 year old Tina Savage 0f 210 Bayley Road;$5,000 bail
- 37 year old Bobbi Jo Secore of 14 Dana Street;$5,000 bail
- 35 year old Scott Fournier of 391 North Racquette Road; $5,000 bail
- 20 year old Terry McGregor of 259 Center Street: $10,000 bail
LaDue and Gray each posted $2,500 bail and were released.
“These defendants are responsible for a great deal of the supply of illegal drugs in this community. “We also know that illegal drug activity drives other criminal activity in our community especially burglaries and other property crimes. Although these arrests will impact sales for awhile, we know there is still work to be done. We will work very hard to hold these people responsible and shut them down,” said Massena Police Chief Timmy Currier.
The St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force arrested 16 other people Tuesday in the early morning raid.
The following suspects were charged with felony counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance:
- Joseph F. Mudge, age 45, 552 Sylvia Lake Road, Gouverneur (hydrocodone)
- Richard L. Matott, age 51, 15 Waid Street, Gouverneur (oxycodone)
- Jessica L. Prashaw, age 27, Battle Hill Road, Gouverneur (oxycodone)
- Erin A. Irvin, age 23, 815 Morris Street, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Amy L. Corrice, age 44, 200 Patterson Street, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Percy R. Bresett, age 49 200 Patterson Street, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Derek J. Denny, age 27, 118 Oak Street, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Eric L. Peets, age 22, 1423 Fort Street Apartment 1, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Edwin J. Lake, age 45, 5764 County Route 6, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Julie A. Kirk, age 27, 1423 Ford Street Apartment 1, Ogdensburg (cocaine)
- Katie L. King, age 19, 1120 Dodge Lane, Grovetown, Georgia (cocaine)
- Richard P.J. Teriele, age 18, Dry Bridge Road, Heuvelton (prescription pills)
- James W. Knapton, age 27, Jameson Road, Canton (oxycodone)
The Task Force also arrested three other people:
- Thomas J. Scovil, age 26, 929 State Highway 72, Parishville (criminal sale of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance)
- Megan B. Larock, age 27, 73 River Lane, Ogdensburg, (criminal possession of stolen property)
- Amanda L. Robinson, age 31, 8 Buck Street Apartment D, Canton (petit larceny)
The arrests were the result of a 10 month investigation involving numerous undercover drug buys throughout the county.
Several more arrests are pending.
Task Force members included members of the Drug Enforcement Agency, sheriff’s department, state police and police from the Ogdensburg, Massena, Gouverneur, Canton and Potsdam departments.
