Foster Murder Case Apparently Going To Trial

The man accused of murdering Alicia Wasilewski 12 years ago will be headed to trial - that’s what Michial Foster’s lawyer Gary Miles said Wednesday following a pre-trial conference.

Foster was escorted into into Jefferson County Court for that conference - which will continue next Tuesday.

The trial is set for September 8.

When asked if Foster was offered a plea deal, Miles declined comment - saying both sides knew from the start that this case would go to trial.

Miles says Foster maintains his innocence and wants his day in court.

Police believe Foster strangled Wasilewski in 1996.

Her remains were found just outside the city of Watertown last year.
