Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day
was made a federal holiday in 1894. But, it was first observed on the first Monday in September in 1882 at the Central Labor Union in New York City. It traditionally symbolizes the end of summer and the acceptable end date for wearing white. Does anyone care about that anymore?
Many countries celebrate Labor Day, however most of them call it something else. These include Italy, Germany, the Bahamas, Mexico and Peru.
