Woodville Woman Killed While Tubing

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of 50-year-old Christine M. Reed of Woodville.

Deputies say she was riding an inflatable tube that was being pulled behind a boat on Sandy Pond in the town of Sandy Creek.

The operator of the boat was Timothy Briggs of Sandy Creek.

Reed’s tube struck a wave and flipped over and she was wearing a life vest.

The investigation into her death is ongoing.
