Former St. Lawrence Zinc Employees Offered Jobs Out West

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. (AP) Nearly 30 former St. Lawrence Zinc employees have been offered jobs out west with the Stillwater Mining Co. in Montana.

Stillwater finished recruiting sessions this week for St. Lawrence Zinc miners, electricians and fixed
maintenance personnel, doing about 60 interviews.

The choice to work in the Stillwater mines means moving about 2,000 miles from St. Lawrence County.
