Camp Explosion Injures Man

One man was injured after an explosion ripped through a camp in Oxbow near the Oswegatchie River Wednesday afternoon.

Details were sketchy but the blaze broke out around 2:30 p.m. on County Route 25, one mile from the Oswegatchie River.

One individual was blown back by the force of the explosion and was treated at the scene.

Volunteer firefighters from Oxbow and Gouverneur were unable to save the structure.
