Lillian E. Harvey, 95, Watertown

Lillian E. Harvey, 95, formerly of Sherman St., Watertown, died Saturday morning, Oct. 11, 2008, at Samaritan Keep Home where she had resided since August 2007.

The funeral will be on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, town of Watertown.

There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc.

Donations may be made in her name to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 314 Clay St., Watertown, NY 13601.

Mrs. Harvey was born in Greenwich Village on September 19, 1913, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Schroeder Baumann.

She graduated from schools in New York City.

On August 18, 1934 she married Bruce L. Harvey at St. Luke’s Chapel, Greenwich Village.

Mr. Harvey died on November 15, 1967.

She had worked for the Provost Marshall on Ft. Drum, and was a bookkeeper and secretary for Leon Robb, an accountant, in Watertown.

Mrs. Harvey was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

She was a former member of the House of the Good Samaritan Ladies Auxiliary and the Northside Improvement League.

She was an Elks Club Lodge #496 invitee, with her husband being a past exulted ruler. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing cards.

She golfed when she was younger and followed golf, and was an avid Yankees fan.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian S. and Mary-Martha Harvey, Canandaigua; her 2 grandsons, Theron C. and Theresa E. Harvey, Philadelphia, PA and Trevor J. Harvey, St. Augustine, FL; 1 great grandson, Tristan J. Harvey; 1 sister, Marion Flynn, OK; and her nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Bruce, she was predeceased by 1 brother, William Baumann, and 3 sisters, Florence Makarchuk, Ethel McVicker, and Ruth McGrath.
